During your dental examination, your dental surgeon will carry out an assessment of your teeth and gums, explain their findings to you and then, if necessary, recommend specific treatment options that are appropriate for you. Your dentist will also be screening for any signs of mouth cancer. Statistics have shown that early detection and treatment of mouth cancer significantly improves survival rates.
